Find My Phone

You can find your iPhone by using features in IOS [iPhone Operating System].  Finding your iPhone is enabled in Settings.  You must have iCloud set up and Location Services activated.  Start by doing the following:

  • Go into settings.
  • Scroll down to iCloud.
  • Scroll down and turn on Find My iPhone.
  • Here is how you do it.

IMG_1202  Turn on Find My iPhone

But you will need to verify that you have Location Services turned on!  This is how to do it!

  • Go into settings and scroll down to Privacy.
  • Open Privacy and select Location Services.
  • Make sure that Location Services is turned on.
  • Then scroll to the very  bottom and make sure that Find My iPhone is turned on.
  • Here is how you do it.

Once that is completed; then, how do you find an iPhone?  Assume you have been to several shopping venues!  You arrive home and discover you do not have your iPhone.  What do you do?

  1. Go to a computer and open a browser [the Internet].
  2. Go to www.icloud.com
  3. You will be asked for your iCloud user name and password.
  4. Then click on Find My iPhone.
  5. You will be asked for your password again.
  6. Then select My Devices
  7. Here are the images from the Internet.
