Passcode Lock on iPhone

 

Securing your iPhone is extremely critical and locking your iPhone is essential if you store sensitive data   If you do online banking or store passwords on your iPhone you will want to lock it to prevent others from having access to your data.  Apple allows you to setup a four digit passcode.  Each time the “Slide to unlock” is swiped, you will be asked to enter your four digit passcode.  In order for someone to access your information they must know the “Passcode.”  With four digits, zero through nine, there are 9,999 different possible combinations.  Here is how to setup a “Passcode.”

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to General  and scroll down to Passcode Lock
  3. Open Passcode Lock
  4. And click on “Turn Passcode On!”
  5. Enter a four digit passcode.
  6. You will be asked to “Re-enter your passcode.”
  7. At that point, you are done.
  8. The next time your phone goes to sleep, you will have to type a “passcode” to unlock your phone.

IMG_1210     At the “General” setting go down to Passcode Lock and click on it.

IMG_1212   Enter a four digit Passcode.  You will have to re-enter it to confirm.
